Society 5.0、すなわち「超スマート社会」の実現を目指し、人間・人工物・自然といった要素の関係性を総合的に設計する環境デザインの方法論を構築しています。また、AIをはじめとする情報通信技術（ICT）の高度な活用によって、環境デザインシステムの開発を進めるとともに、総合工学的視点から環境情報学の研究と教育にも取り組んでいます。
Aiming to realize Society 5.0—an ultra-smart society—we are developing methodologies for environmental design that comprehensively integrate the relationships among humans, artifacts, and nature. In parallel, we pursue the advancement of environmental design systems through the sophisticated use of information and communication technologies (ICT), including AI, and engage in research and education in environmental informatics from a comprehensive engineering perspective.

前田記念工学振興財団「前田工学賞」受賞（陳 庭松 博士）| Dr. Tingsong CHEN Receives the Maeda Engineering Award

2026年5月29日、2023年9月に大阪大学大学院工学研究科より博士（工学）の学位を授与され、現在は株式会社奥村組 ICT統括センター イノベーション部 DX推進課にて活躍されている陳 庭松（Tingsong CHEN）博士が、公益財団法人前田記念工学振興財団の令和8年度「前田工学賞」を受賞しました。

前田工学賞は、わが国における基礎研究の振興と若手研究者の育成を目的として、学術的価値、社会的意義、有用性に優れた博士論文を表彰する賞です。

陳博士の博士論文 “Improving the Safety of Construction Site Personnel Using Multi-Sensor Data Fusion”（指導教員：矢吹信喜教授（当時））は、「i-Construction分野」において高く評価され、今回の受賞に至りました。

陳博士の受賞を心よりお祝いするとともに、今後ますますのご活躍を期待しています。

On May 29, 2026, Dr. Tingsong CHEN, who earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from The University of Osaka in September 2023 and is currently working at the DX Promotion Group, Innovation Department, ICT Management Center of Okumura Corporation, received the 2026 Maeda Engineering Award from the Maeda Engineering Foundation.

The Maeda Engineering Award recognizes outstanding doctoral dissertations that demonstrate academic excellence, social significance, and practical value, with the aim of promoting fundamental research and fostering young researchers in Japan.

Dr. CHEN was honored in the i-Construction category for his doctoral dissertation: “Improving the Safety of Construction Site Personnel Using Multi-Sensor Data Fusion (Supervisor: Professor Nobuyoshi Yabuki).”

All members warmly congratulate Dr. CHEN on this prestigious achievement and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.
