7月24日、研究室の博士後期課程・博士前期課程・学部4年生全員が研究進捗を発表する、研究室全体ゼミを開催しました。
PhDおよびM2の学生は英語で、M1およびB4の学生は英語または日本語で発表しました。特にB4の学生にとっては、先輩たちが英語で研究を発表する姿が大きな刺激となったようです。また、遠方から社会人大学院生も参加し、朝から夕方まで、活発な発表と議論が続きました。
ゼミの合間には、研究室メンバー全員で集合写真を撮影しました。今回は、大阪大学の卒業記念アルバムに掲載する写真の撮影も兼ねています。
夕方からは、春夏学期お疲れ様会と大学院入試の激励会を開催しました。約30名が近い席で集まり、リーズナブルな価格でお腹いっぱい食べられるお店を探すのは毎回なかなか大変ですが、今回は学生幹事が頑張って調整してくれました。
研究に励んだ学期を締めくくり、学生同士が交流を深める楽しいひとときとなりました。
On July 24, our laboratory held an all-member research seminar, where all PhD students, Master’s students, and fourth-year undergraduate students presented their latest research progress.
PhD and M2 students presented in English, while M1 and B4 students presented in either English or Japanese. For the B4 students in particular, seeing their senior colleagues confidently present their research in English appeared to be a valuable source of inspiration and motivation. We were also pleased to welcome a working professional graduate student who traveled a long distance to join us. The seminar continued with presentations and discussions from morning until late afternoon.
During a break, we took a group photograph of the entire laboratory, which also served as the photo session for The University of Osaka’s graduation commemorative album.
In the evening, we held a Spring–Summer Semester Appreciation Gathering and a celebration to encourage students preparing for the graduate school entrance examinations. Finding a restaurant that can accommodate around 30 people, keep everyone seated together, and offer a satisfying meal at a reasonable price is always a challenge. This time, our student organizers worked hard to find and arrange a suitable venue.
It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the end of a productive semester and strengthen connections among laboratory members.
