Takashi Machimura’s work involves addressing a variety of subjects in view of building a sustainable society in harmony with nature based on ecology, meteorology, and hydrology. The key themes of his research include nature’s contribution to people’s lives, the global carbon cycle, biomass utilization, wildlife management, and ecosystem modeling.
