Program Outline

There are two phases for this program. In the first phase of the Mentor System, highly qualified business practitioners or leading researchers from other universities and research institutions are selected as mentors for graduate students in the Division of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering, Osaka University. Mentors act as advisers, trainers, and assessors for students' research toward writing a thesis. Students receive advice not only for their research but also on their future career path. In the second phase or the Project-based Leader Training Program, we aim to foster next-generation leaders armed with research, management, and practical skills by providing talented students with opportunities to take part in their mentors' research projects in Japan and abroad.
