Abstract: This paper reviews the existing researches related to the application of information technologies in the precast production process of prefabricated buildings. First, the process is analyzed and divided into four stages. Second, relevant literature during the last ten years are reviewed in order to grasp the current status of research in each stage. Then, applicable novel information technologies used in both construction and manufacturing industry are analyzed. Finally, future directions of research in the field are proposed to establish the foundation for the further researches.
