Globally, there are strong efforts being done to mitigate global warming, and in Japan there is a strong policy towards energy conservation and especially from the end-users. The study of lifestyle behaviors from the end-users leads to the understanding of the usage of appliances. This group studies about the energy saving potential while using  high-insulation materials, high efficient appliances, natural ventilation, natural lighting, landscape designing, passive utilization, etc.
